This is not my thoughts on S.S and the future but I really would like to share this as something to keep in mind.
My step-son is bi-polar, receives disability. He called scared to death when a few months ago he was asked to
gather certain documents and come in for an evaluation.
He was freaking out, screaming they were going to take away his benefits, he was going to lose his health and housing
help. He stopped taking his meds, ended up in hospital care for 3 months, still ranting and carrying on.
Hubby tried to tell him, this evaluation was simply to clear out people who were not legally supposed to get disability.
Step-son cried the usual rhetoric of many. Finally he gave in collected all the info, went in for his evaluation
guess what... he was reinstated, stamped approved, got all his back pay and now getting his checks and help.
There are certain words that hit people the wrong way and their mind gets set in that way of thinking, I do believe.
I try to be very careful about what I say as we never know who is reading it, how it effects them. A fear we have can
be a panic to someone else and cause health issues for them. I sure pray I never say something that caused someone
to panic into a heart attack. So many broken people out there now, aren't we all in some way?
