Starbuck's Customers

I bought a cup of overpriced Starbucks coffee Once....what a rip-off! IMO, a 59 cent "senior" coffee at McDonalds is much better.
A McDonalds was the only place to get a drinkable coffee anywhere across I-80 through Wyoming. Too much exposure to Sheepherders coffee I guess.

The first and last time I had Starbucks coffee was in the cafe at GSK laboratories where we did dental studies. We ate there because we got free lunches, which were pretty good. After a time they added a Starbucks coffee machine which I tried during the morning break. The coffee smelled burnt and tasted terrible. That people stand in line to buy that swill is beyond me! And to pay so much for it...hopefully that $9 is at least for a fancy coffee concoction. The only time I go into a Starbucks is when I come across in Atlantic City or at a rest stop. I like their pumpkin bread and probably pay more than I should for it, but it's a special treat to myself that doesn't happen often.

The O/H buys Starbuck's coffee beans at Costco, and grinds them himself. The only Starbuck's beverage
I ever have, is their Chai Latte, from time to time. I find their coffees far too strong for my taste.

Most of the time, we get Tim Horton's drive-through coffee, but, actually prefer McDonald's coffee.

No Starbucks for me. At one time Barnes & Noble book stores had Starbucks shops in their stores so I tried it. It wasn't bad but it wasn't any better than the coffee in the mug I bring from home. I just don't get the whole coffee shop thing.

There is a Panda Express where I pick up lunch sometimes and the drive-thru and the drive-thru for a Starbucks cross. Admittedly, that is not a good situation in any case and it requires a little bit of courtesy and kindness in order to work. Sometimes the Starbucks customers pull up and block the PE customers from exiting their line and then pretend they don't notice that you want to get out. The PE Staff have to go out and insist that they move to get their line going again. People can be so rude.

So my youngest works at the Starbucks Coffee Outlet.

People will wait 30 minutes in the drive-thru for a $9.00 coffee. They're all nuts! A man came in yesterday and asked my daughter what the velocity of the coffee blender was, and got all mad when he didn't get a proper answer! Another patron wanted to know the expiry date on his bag of coffee. My daughter told him it was good for about a week after it is opened. That wasn't good enough and he said he would email the company to get the correct information. My daughter always has a story about a bonkers customer after each of her shifts.

Nothing beats working with the public to realize that half of the world is Looney Tunes! lol!
Great job for young people!

Someone sent me a $50 Starbucks gift card once. I didn't want it, and I couldn't give it away. Finally a carpenter acquaintance took it off my hands, saying he'd use it to buy a Thermos for work.

Here in Canada, Tim Hortons is popular. Very busy, with long lineups. Their coffee doesn't even taste good. Some folks think they put drugs in the coffee to get people hooked.

Well, caffeine is a drug. There must be something good about it, if people line up for it.

Yea, Starbucks has become a bit of a cult thing. Someone gave me a Starbucks gift card, I used it and ordered their coffee of the day/house coffee, it tasted bland and flat compared to what I brew at home. No wonder they have to use all kinds of toxic additives to enhance the taste, I think they're using cheap, low quality coffee blend.

I don't frequent fast food places unless I'm traveling, but I'm impressed with McDonald's coffee, has full body and is hoooot! :D

The customer service aspect of my job can be horrible.

I rarely, rarely go to a coffee place. I see those drive through lines. With all the barista milks etc available, I use non-dairy, I can make something just as good at home and I do daily. Califia oat is my go to.

If we're out shopping, occasionally daughter will pay us a treat but not at Starbucks but the best coffee places in my corner of Scotland, Costa coffee.

Usually a Tall Caramel or Chocolate Latte...

Due to the costs of these coffees, we acquired a barista coffee recipes book and bought Camp Coffee Essence for our cold coffees and we have Espresso ground coffee for our hot ones. Just out of a plain coffee filter machine.

I heat up the milk in a Pyrex cup in the microwave, then pour it into my old Café Press and whip up my hot milk that way. Around November time, we mix regular ground coffee with spices and store it for Special Christmas coffee.

I've an old wand I use to whip up dreamwhip Bird's Eye to use as cream topping on these Christmas hot chocolate or Spirits Coffee delish.

Sorry Starbucks ye too pricey!

People can say what they want about McDonald's, but they have some of the best coffee around...hands down! And their hot chocolate is good too!
The trick to a perfect Hot Cocoa or Hot Chocolate, gently heat up milk, add a pinch of cinnamon and 4 tablespoons of best Baking Chocolate Powder. Pour into 2 cups and float on top, if desired, a spoonful of plain Greek-style yoghurt. Sprinkle chocolate powder in top. Dreamy!

Generally I rip open a package of Swiss Miss (with the little marshmallows of course!) and add to hot milk. Gourmet I am not!

when I was still teaching, another teacher would come in every day with a grande latte, at the time about 5 bucks. If you don’t count weekends, that was still a hundred bucks a month. I have better ways to spend my money, but to each her own.
