Started prep today for a Colonoscopy Monday

Have they ever made that stuff you have to drink a more pleasant taste? …it was horrible
I’ve had 2 one many years ago when I was prob 40 ….and another 3-4 years ago …years ago we had to drink 2 ltrs of that horrible stuff ….but last time it was only 1 ltr

I understand…..the prep is the worst. I had mine a couple months ago….they knocked me out for the procedure so it wasn’t bad.
 
I remember a columnist did a piece about his first colonoscopy and he admitted that the taste of the drink that he has to consume was not great. Later to find that the doctor told him several patients found that mixing it with vodka helps a lot, he was not happy to hear that afterward.

Three years ago, my colonoscopy went very smoothly, because all stuff, Gastroentologist, anethesia, nurse along with front office clerks were very professional and very nice. Even I could drive back home, but my son drove me back home.
However, one thing I disliked was Prep as the other said already.
 
You may be "tested out", but good for you for doing what you should to keep up with your health. Not too long ago, I heard that the prep isn't nearly as bad as it used to be. Did you have to drink something or did you get pills? Best of blessings with your procedure. I hope it reveals that you are "clear" of any issues.

I had to take Ducolax pills early in day before. And then Miralax mixed in Gatorade later in day.
I had the test this morning. They found a couple polyps......removed them. I have to call in a week to get results

I'm glad that's over Marie. Hopefully polyps were all they found. I've had to have them removed and recently, so did my middle grandson who is 26 or 27. Seems to be fairly common.
