Well around here they are often accompanied by tornadoes & flash floods so your house splinters into bits or floats awayI really love thunderstorms.
OK, so they can be a little scary at times, but the sheer power of them makes me feel a little humble.
We had a tree, not six feet from our home in Florida, that was hit by lightening.
... It went straight through the tree, then through the roots.
It killed that tree as dead as a dodo.
There was a 90-year old lady just next door, and her house was hit.
It blew all of the electrics to smithereens.
Now, that must have been very frightening for her.
I'm in that dark red zone between Cleburne and Arlington. Where are ya'll?
Look for the "X"...
Maybe you we being punished for something...
I used to feel the same way living in a house without a basement, but surrounded by trees, in Tornado Alley.
That must have been very scary ReddI have had a fear of storms since being stopped on the road with the storm wreaking havoc all around. Lighting shook the car as it touched across the road and you could feel the force even inside the vehicle. Two people died in that storm that day.
So far we've only had rain, no serious storms, which is unusual for Oklahoma. My back yard resembles a lake. In fact, some long legged lake birds have landed to try out the fishing. We got it coming again late tonight, mild thunderstorms with rain. You guys in north Texas stay safe.
