Straight from the can...

These days it's mostly sardines, smoked oysters, Kippered herring, and the like.

But back during my bachelor days I would eat lots of stuff cold straight out of the can. Dinty Moore beef stew, Baked Beans, Chef Boyarde Spagetti and meatballs, Ravioli, Lasanga, etc. ,many varirties of Campbells soup, the list is endless. All I needed was a can opener and a spoon and I was good to go.

In New England we have an old traditional brown bread that comes in a can, it's very tasty. This was a family staple on Friday nights with hot dogs n beans when I was a kid.
