Strange or odd food combinations that pleasantly surprised you

You're right Bob...that does sound horrible! But to each his own. The only odd combination I can think of right now is when I was young, my parents took me to the shore area and we were walking the boardwalk. I wanted frozen custard and got that in a cone. I also had french fries (no ketchup) and I was eating one right after another. It was so good! A couple of years ago, I tried to recreate that with "Mickey D's" soft serve ice cream and their fries, but it wasn't the same.

Waffles and chicken salad
Peanut butter and cheese
A BLT with avocado
My husband claims I like the strangest combinations of food

Just curious .... what is it about hot dogs with ketchup and mayo that bothers you?
Fair question . I actually thought mayo and ketchup were fairly common for hot dogs and hamburgers

My Australian friend hates paenut butter.
Peanut Butter...:sick: I genuinely think that the only people who love Peanut Butter as an entire nation are Americans.. I have no idea why that is...

I've travelled quite extensively throughout Europe, and never once has Peanut butter been served anywhere..in restaurants or people's homes..

Not to say people don't eat it here.. but I don't know anyone who does..
I know Holly! My Australian friend hates peanut butter!

I can't imagine life without it. My mainstay lunch is a peanut butter, lettuce and mayo sandwich and an apple.

As for pulled pork with coleslaw on top. I've never been served it any other way, that's in Ohio, West Virginia, Georgia or Washington DC.

it's just nurture I suppose Della.. if you were raised on it, then you'll likely love it..... .. funny enough I was going to take a picture today when I was in the supermarket. I was in the aisle where the Peanut butter is, and I notcied they had one shelf of P/butter and everything else was marmalade, jams, chocolate spread etc.. I should have..I'll try and remember next time..
