Strangely rewarding little projects

Is there anything you do or have done recently that seemed to give you more satisfaction than you expected?

I recently started taking the random hardware out of various plastic containers and drawers in the tool chest and putting it into small 2x3 or 3x4 zip lock bags. I've enjoyed both having easier to deal with collections of hardware and also finding out what I had laying around. I'm also taking things out of their hard plastic packaging and putting them into the zip lock bags. I also have consolidated multiple plastic bag packages of things into single bags. I'm looking forward to completing the process and them moving things into more organized places.

I recently went though my recipe box and pulled out several that I want to try and made a point to get the ingredients this past week.
I also went through my kitchen drawer that I use for paper, pencils and pens, got rid of half of them and sharpened the pencils I kept.. Separated the thumbtacks from the paperclips and put them in neat containers. I hope it stays that way.

Went through old bank statements and receipts .. had a lot to shred! Every now and then, I go through cards I've kept. Some, I will keep for their sentimental value.

Whenever I reorganize a closet, a drawer, a room, storage downstairs, I always find delight in the before and after.

With me it doesn't have to be overly involved to please me, as the little things have always counted in my life.

I have always been easily pleased.

In the escape plan underway, my son and I enjoyed going through old photos and things. Still have a lot to let go . . .

Laundry. The water in this house is so clean and fresh that our clothes smell like they’ve been out on the line all day long. The water at our last house was horrible. Now I really get to experience the difference between a drilled well and a bored well. Totally different.

Some days just getting the right socks together seems like a major accomplishment to me......

Most of you seem to get pleasure from organizing things. I have always loved to organize things. I'm glad others enjoy it too!
