The FDA, along with CDC, the Public Health Agency of Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, state, and local partners are investigating a multistate outbreak of hepatitis A infections in the United States and Canada potentially linked to fresh organic strawberries branded as FreshKampo and HEB, purchased between March 5, 2022, and April 25, 2022, according to the FDA.

Last week I stocked up on five jars of Jiff peanut butter, came home and saw they were part of a recall and took them all back.

Yesterday, I smelled the strawberries when I walked in the store and knew it was time for a strawberry shortcake feast, I even bought two kinds of whipped cream so my vegan son could have some, came home and picked the berries and then sat down here and found out about the recall.

From now on just ask me what I just bought and if you have any, throw it out.

Business has become very very aggressive and very irresponsible.

Recall was for berries purchased between March 5, 2022, and April 25, 2022. They would probably have rotted by now.

Yes, which is good to note,
but they say that the batches that people bought then, in order to put into their freezers, must also be discarded, now.
(And we can again wonder why the long delay, to inform people.)

That 7 weeks (Mar 5 to April 25) is the bulk of the strawberry harvesting season for many types and areas.

These recalls don't stop at the PB or the Strawberries.....
they include items that would have those as ingredients or in contact....

Well.....so far we're OK.
