Streaming TV series

Any good series on the streaming networks that you would like to recommend?

The latest one I've been binge watching is In Treatment, on Netflix. It's pretty good, though I liked its first season better, a few years ago. Each episode features a session between a shrink and an interestingly disturbed patient. In the first three seasons, the shrink was an Irish man, in the current one she is a Black woman. They treat varying patients, depending on what day of the week it is, which made more sense before the days of streaming. In other words, every Monday, you got the lady in love with the psychiatrist, every Tuesday the military guy with PTSD, every Wednesday the teenager who wanted to kill herself, etc. Every Friday was reserved for the shrink and his own troubles.

It has its ups and downs, but is a very interesting concept for a TV show. I'm glad they brought it back.

And you know that there’ll eventually be more. Season 15 is being created right now. I’ve never watched it.

Kim’s Convenience. A Korean-Canadian family run a convenience store in Toronto. Light.

That sounds interesting. Is it on Netflix?

Amazon Prime is doing a dramatic version of Colson Whitehead's Underground Railroad, one of the most exciting books I've ever read. The series is not as stunning as the book, but that doesn't mean it's not good. The author is operating on the premise that the "railroad" is an actual underground railroad. Two escaped slaves share their incredible adventures with us as they get closer and closer to freedom. I can recommend this series, and especially the book, highly.

I'm starting to get frustrated by the shows who "switch streams" (as I call it): for instance I really liked the first season of a showed called Evil on CBS (not CBS Access+, mind you but regular ol' CBS). And I was glad to hear it had been renewed and was supposed to start airing again later this month. Welp, you might know: sure, it'll start airing again pretty soon but now it's gonna be only on the Paramount+ streaming service. Which I don't get. Because my cable co. wants another $6 to $10/month for it (their info. on how much it costs is inconsistent because of course it is). Frustrating.

i got hulu. $5.99 a mo and i'm guessing with taxes it came to $6.66 a month. *rolls eyes*
it's 64.99 a month for live tv. cbs.
I've heard Hulu's pretty good but I'm still making up my mind about if to get it or not. I did hear that Paramount+ is rated the worst. My problem is there is usually one and only one show I want to see on the services I could get; Evil on Paramount+, Loki on Disney+, and I forget the one I want to see on Hulu; so that's making it hard to decide, sigh.

I love Sweet Tooth too. I started watching because I really like the actor who plays "Big Man" (I liked him on Zoo too) and like shows about fantastical creatures and people. It grabbed me after the first episode. I also watch Evil. Now that it's on Paramount+, I don't know if Netflix will get it after the season ends. I had no intention of subscribing to Paramount but Amazon Prime offered two months for 99 cents each month. Since I wanted to watch the rest of the episodes of The Equalizer (Queen Latifah), all the available episodes of The Love Boat and the new season of Evil, I decided what the heck. I intend to pay the $9.99 for the third month by which time I should be finished watching all the episodes of each show.

I just read this in the Evil group on Facebook...don't know if it will help you. "in your tv App Store download Paramount+ you get the first month free" in response to someone who wanted to know how they could watch. If P+ is still offering a month free after the series ends, you could get it then and have time to watch all of the second season. I get Prime free via my Metro PCS cell phone service. I also have Netflix, Hulu Plus and recently subscribed to Discovery+. Not counting Paramount, I'm only paying $28 a month which is below the average of what cord cutters pay ($40). Which streaming services do you have Officer?

Re the OP: @Sunny what genres do you like best and what streaming services do you have?
