Stronger is a movie about Jeff Bauman (based on a book he wrote) who survived the Boston Marathon Bombing. Lost both his legs. He was in the crowd, cheering on his girlfriend and was actually standing by one of the bombs. He was in the now famous picture of him and "the guy in the cowboy hat" . He actually saw one of the bombers (the one who lived) and his ID helped track them down. It stars Jake Gyllenhall as Jeff. It is currently on Hulu. Interesting story of his road back, his dealing with PTSD and all the attention he was getting from it.

I don't have Hulu Marie, but this would be tough for me to watch anyway. This poor man- his whole life blew up in his face. I'm getting upset already... I hope he is well paid for his story, but nothing can give him back the life he had. :(

I was not sure if I would like it. But it was well made. I think he did well on the book he wrote. He and his girlfriend are now married with a little girl. His wife ran again last year, and completed the race,.
I think he actually took his second chance at life as a reason to turn his life around, is attending college now.

Thanks Marie. These are good things for him. Feel better now.:)

I watched it on Hulu this week. It was painful to watch, took me two days because I kept stopping.

His family and friends were very annoying, especially his mom. Lots of drinking going on all the time. Only person I liked was his girlfriend.

The ending was good though, he seems to have turned things around.

I didn't read the book.

Oh Gawd, his mom....wow. I will have to say, Jeff was not a likeable person, either. But, not sure how I would cope.
