Summer flu is the worse

I am at the end of my bad cold. Not that I want to be sick at any time, but I prefer having a very bad cold in colder weather where at least I feel cozy inside while the weather is cold and wet outside while I am recovering. And it's nice and quiet in colder and wet weather because everyone is inside and not doing outside activities.

Instead, it is stifling hot and it is noisy outside. Landscapers are working outside, kids are playing outside, people are playing music outside now.... yup, hate flu in the summer season.

What people refer to as summer flu is gastroenteritis that is not related to the influenza virus at all. Many people have always casually called stronger cases of Rhinovirus, flu, but not doctors as symptoms are different than head colds. If one does catch any kind of stronger sinus virus in summer, today it is more likely COVID-19, so one ought purchase a drug store test kit and test themselves. Simple to do. This person showed a very clear positive this morning.

Sorry I should have said a very bad cold, I don't know why I said flu. I will correct.

I'm with you Tulips. I love the crisp sunny days of September and I've missed the first week, inside with a terrible cold. It has now reached my bronchial tubes and here I sit at midnight, because my own wheezing is so loud it was keeping me awake.

Hate summer colds. So much to do. So I take a few ibuprofen and pretend I don’t have a cold and do all the work anyway. Then pay for it come bedtime. Or pay for it with an even worse cold.

Definitely, a few years ago I was sick for 3 weeks in August, plus I don't have AC. I was miserable and hot.
