Sunrises and Sunsets

As a several decades serious landscape and nature photographer, I'll repeat what I've related on photography boards that has been roundly disliked by the anything goes majority. While it is true some of the hot-linked image of others on this thread were reasonably processed, the majority I see here and elsewhere were not.

The ironic thing about sunrise, sunset images is the actual natural colorful events are rarely good enough for those that post publicly on the Internet, or sell photography in galleries and public art fair events. Instead the natural experiences our eyes actual witness and are so celebrated, are jacked up in color saturation and contrast with new colors created beyond what is possible as thought the natural events they love were UNWORTHY, not good enough. Worse those that do so, especially on the web, are the last to admit while crying and screaming, they've greatly manipulated what they experienced.
