Super Blue Moon Tonight

Tonight will be the last one until 2037 the press reckons,
we here in the UK can see it at 02:35, Thursday morning,
in North America, they say 03:36 EDT.
How and when to see the rare 'super blue moon' as it rises TONIGHT

Well Mike, we went out and looked at it. Didn't notice anything "super" about it and it certainly wasn't "blue", but it was indeed a full moon!

Of course, that was around 10:00 PM. Maybe if we'd stayed up for another 5-1/2 hours .. .

But seriously, thanks for your post.

Dear wifey was getting excited about it, so did try and get a quick snap through the bedroom glass window, but gave up as legs were wonky and hurt, and the camera was all over the place, hence rubbish picture.

I find it hard to get excited about Moon stuff like this. It's just the Moon - and appears just a bit bigger

There was a full moon out when I went to feed the ferals at about 0600 but I missed anything special. When I worked PM shift, I remember a couple huge moons rising when I was driving from work. I'm not sure what they were but they were yellow/orange and spectacular.

I have trouble sleeping when the moon is full sometimes. Last night I only got 5 hours sleep. ( Usually about 7 hrs )

I made it a point to look out, around 2:00am, I wasn't sure I'd see anything because it was so overcast/cloudy yesterday. I'm glad I did because it was beautiful.

This is the normal moon, so the difference to my other picture above is anybodys guess. Adding I only take snapshots.

It doesn't turn blue, the name is because it is the second
full moon in one calendar month.

I saw it. The night was crystal clear and it was bright and beautiful. I howled at it.
