Super Bowl LVIII...Taylor Swift et al

While I am a die heart Eagle's fan and will continue to support the team, I find it interesting that we have yet another distraction...good or bad. What I find interesting is that people are hating on Swift or whatever reason that makes them comfortable by way of hate. In my humble opinion, whether people believe she is in an authentic relationship with Travis or a set up, why should people put all their energy into 2 people who cannot change the trajectory of our lives. Either we tune into SBLVIII if we are true footballers or find something useful to do with the time we have here on this earth. My penny sense...What are your thoughts.

No interest in sports. About the relationship, though, for what it's worth, I believe it is genuine... but I think that she should have made a decision to not be a disruption/distraction, and stay away from the live games. They *had* to know what it would cause if she attended all the games and perhaps a little wisdom/discretion was called for..

You raised a good point. In saying so, if she is in a relationship with Kelce how else should she support him. He attends her concerts when he is able, so one can also say that is a distraction as well. This is a tough one tho...

As a football fan, the whole Taylor Swift thing doesn't bother me in the least. Just a bit of fluff adding some new interest for some in the viewing audience. But make no mistake; both the Chiefs & the NFL are laughing all the way to the bank because of the Swift/Kelse romance!

"Swift's relationship with Kelce and her appearances at Chiefs games has generated $331.5 million in equivalent brand value for the Chiefs and the NFL, according to an analysis the group shared with Quartz."

I've never opened any of the news media headlines about Taylor Swift whether about her music that I'm barely familiar with any of, much less any of her pro football related headlines. And yes, I've seen some momentary network camera shots during KC games where the camera flashes to her area that doesn't bother me in the least since cameras always do so briefly in all major sport events.

So it would seem, this media fuss is as usual, all about what is going on in younger generation dominated, troll warring, post smartphone social media I have no accounts on as I don't need my mind polluted by non issues like this and much else.

This thread brings to mind another relationship from years back, that had the whole nation captivated.

.. the Hollywood star and the Yankee great. ... remember them?

I'll be glued to the TV during this game, and i will probably watch the re-run on the NFL Network a day or two later. Travis and Taylor are just adding a bit of "magic" to one of the best events of the year....especially if the Chiefs win....IMO.
Its safe to say that you are a trueeeeee NFL fan! I'm here for it...

The Chiefs are a good team and the referees help them win like they did in the Superbowl against the Eagles who actually beat them.

But The 49ers are impressive.

It has the makings of a good game.
It would have been nice for us (Eagle's) to advance to the Super Bowl with the Chiefs once more. But hey...

Not interested in sports especially football but then I don't much like any sports except maybe watching some baseball. As for Taylor Swift...I think she is great, I love her music and I think she has a genuine relationship with that football player. What's his name again??

So very true! No truer words! :)

Travis Kelce...:) Although she makes good music, she is not my go to artist.

Good observation and point. For me, I'm still trying to wrap my head around why grown people are so involved om the affairs of this young lady. Again, while she makes good music, I'm not a fan...I don't have anything against her, but her music is not my go-to. However, to get all involved day in and day out talking about her relationship with Kelce is beyond me. Who cares if it is PR or not. They are doing what is best for them and I believe we ought to do the same. If not, we will never get our time and energy back worrying about TS & TK.

I’ve no interest in ‘watching’ professional sports and don’t particularly care if Taylor Swift is there. She’s doing what any good woman would do ; supporting her man. If people want to be childishly petty and not go; then it’s their loss. Haters gonna hate, hate, hate.
Exactly. Then again, most cannot afford to go....unless they go to a nearby sports bar
