After talking with a real estate agent for some general information, and he said inventory was low..
I did a search for my area..
and website stated..
It cost 37% more to live in my area.

How is it where you live?

I think it's cheaper in rural Virginia than other places, but I haven't done a survey of actual data.

According to BestPlaces.net

$2,933 / month
for a single person, 38.5% less expensive than the national average A total of $35,200 for the year for a single person.

These things need to be taken with a rather large grain of salt.

We all have different needs and wants, a new comer often spends more than someone that knows there way around.

I would not take much stock in “average” anything. That number is usually arrived at by taking the highest and lowest numbers and dividing them out. Do your own research whenever possible.

This week an article said a single person needs to make 114k/year to live comfortably. Things are expensive. It’s probably true if you want to buy a house by yourself. Our real estate is not in line with wages.
