68 years ago yesterday - September 10,1953, Swanson began selling its first "TV dinner."

Do you enjoy TV dinners?

No. Usually I’ll buy a couple of the Oriental cuisine type. Even though they’re better quality now, they’re just something to eat in case of an emergency and I’m unable to cook, e.g. illness. They stay buried in the freezer until I find them and they may be used for lunch.

Same here....we keep a couple in the freezer, and maybe eat them once every 6 or 8 weeks....if we've been running around and haven't the time to cook a regular meal. They're ok for an occasional meal, but we wouldn't make them a habit.

I used to purchase Indian microwave meals .. no longer have a microwave, so .. :(

I've probably had a total of 1, or possibly 2, Swanson T.V. Dinners.

Have not even thought about buying them in years. Used to keep a few in freezer for busy days. Now I depend on peanut butter and honey sandwiches for a quick supper with a glass of milk. Sharp cheddar cheese and crackers are also a good supper for me.
