Synchronicities, universal consciousness, etc.

Speaking of synchronicities, which i encounter, experience more frequently when i meditate daily: Two days ago i put this in my 'watch later' folder. I haven't watched Why Files in a while, much of what he discusses is old news to me as i have been experiencing and reading about the so-called paranormal most of my life. But i appreciate that he generally asks questions and offers alternate explanations for phenomena rather than insisting only one explanation possible (like that 'it was ancient aliens' guy). Also i like the 'Hecklefish'.

So i will watch this sometime today (by afternoon it will likely be too hot to do much else than read or watch things) and then comment further. I suspect at least one of the explanations will be similar to or the actual 'field' theory i recently read about in the book "The Field".

Sure enough most of his references familiar to me. In fact the random number generator tests were i the book i mentioned above. Also long familiar with government remote viewing projects, (have done remote viewing myself), visualization techniques. Been meditating for over 50 yrs.

Glad you enjoyed it. It's a fascinating subject, and really expands the mind to think about it. The story with the two girls, balloons, and their synchronicities is astonishing.

We watch most of "The Why Files". Some of them are too silly, but I like that he reflects on what is true, what isn't, and what could be. This one was one of his best.

It is. i still read a lot on such topics an subscribe to the Curiosity channel which has some interesting movie length documentaries and series on things like human senses where each episode focuses on one aspect of main topic and can be anywhere from 10 to 30-40 minutes.

Watch and read a lot of straight science too but in recent years i find it interesting that science seems to be moving toward confirming things once thought to be strictly in the realm of mysticism.

Really enjoyed Neil de Grasse Tyson's explaining how he was worried about having trouble refuting the theory that we are living in a simulation till he thought of something (need to rewatch that forget what his argument was-- just remember thinking it was a bit of a stretch) he could use.

Personally i think whoever came up with idea of simulation theory just wanted to sound more science based instead of recognizing that the Hindu mystics may have on to something, or the Buddhists or Daoist (Taoist to most westerners. A couple of Asians i've known online over the years told me the T sound was British transliteration. I knew they did that with Pacific Islanders' languages.)

Since my NDE i've been, despite many grounding experiences (like bruises, aches) keenly aware that there are two aspects to reality for me--the material and the ethereal.

This is not the deepest example of synchronicity but it is the one that most made me wonder .. what are the odds?

Two of my gardening heroes came to the opening of a retrospective of my wife's weavings at the Richmond Art Center in 2018. Didn't know either would be there and both have a.reputation for flamboyant dressing. But what are the odds they'd wear cloths that so nearly matched the colors in this weaving?
