Tablet to read magazine on Library Libby app

Enjoy flipping thru the pages like a physical magazine. I use a Samsung 9.5" T550 but the words are not sharp enough & have a fuzzy edge. I have an iphone but the screen is far too small. Thinking may have to buy a higher resolution tablet. Wonder what everyone use to read magzines on Libby ?

I use a cheap 10 inch Amazon fire tablet. At Christmas time they go for about 70 bucks!

I don't know about reading anything on smartphones. A recent article said that 1/2 of the people will be short sighed by 2035 due to starring too long at smartphones and/or computer screens.

I have a KOBO reader but still prefer the old fashioned "real" book; especially those with large prints that many seniors like.

I used Libby from our local library on my IPad. I resorted to it during the pandemic when the library was shut down. I liked it, it was easy to use and I was thankful to have access to it then. But I’ll take a real book in my hand over reading on an electric device any day.

I enjoy reading the latest 'National Geographic' and 'Smithsonian' magazines on my 10 inch tablet.
Also, I'll grab an audio book to listen to as I do my morning walks at the park.
The Libby app makes things so easy to access all I need.

When I visit our local library, I use their computers for access to 'Ancestry' library edition, to look up
Census records, Passenger and Immigration list Index, Court and Military records, etc.
Fun to find out about my people.

Some very nice features offered by my library and our branch is a nice place, with very helpful people.

Hmm never come across Libby - then again I am not a 'hunter' of various electronic aids and bric a brac? - wot is Libby - something I can dowload I expect?

There must be a setting somewhere to change font or make clearer:

Display
Change the display settings.
On the Settings screen, tap Display.
• Brightness: Set the brightness of the display.
• Font: Change the font size and type.
• Screen timeout: Set the length of time the device waits before turning off the display’s
backlight.
• Smart stay: Set the device to prevent the display backlight from turning off while you are
looking at the display.
