Taco Salad Dressing

I am bringing taco salad to next weeks church coffee fellowship and am pretty set on the salad ingredients, but wanted to know what dressing goes well with taco salad. I make it for myself and I've tried balsamic vinegar, ranch and honey mustard, but none reall seems to "click" with this type of salad. I've seen Catalina suggested on some recipe pages, but I don't care for that. I don't want to buy something I'll only be using for this event. Give me several choices.

I don't know what your ingredients are, but around here in New Mexico most of the ingredients in a taco salad are aleady well seasoned, so it doesn't need much, if any at all I'd serve red or green salsa or picante on the side. You don't want a taco salad to get all soggy, so I wouldn't add any "dressing" ahead of serving.

We use thousand island but very lightly. Have it on table for those that like more. Also we serve two kinds of salsa. Mild and hot.

My salad base ingredients are a 50/50 mix of romaine and butter lettuce, sliced grape tomatoes, browned & seasoned ground turkey, shredded cheese and crushed taco chips.

Here's a good taco lime variation of a honey mustard fav - you can also add some mashed avocado to this lime dressing, too:

I brought the taco salad to the coffee fellowship and it was almost entirely eaten. Just about one helping left in the bowl. I did opt for the taco sauce for dressing, so I guess at was a good choice - thanks for the suggestion Judycat.
