Take a breath, a deep breath

As we get older, we tend to become shallow breathers; we're not inhaling deeply to fill our lungs. Doctors are now recommending that people, especially seniors, take several deep breaths throughout the day (while in self-quarantine) so we fill the tiniest air sacs in our lungs. Also, those deep breaths can be very calming, too.

Good advice!

Absolutely great advice. The 74 year old wife of a friend of mine has to drag around one of those oxygen tanks. She told me that she never exercised as an adult and lost her capacity to take in enough air during normal breathing.
