agreed.. depends on how clean people keep their carpets in the first place..mine neither
Carpeting has totally fallen out of favor here in the US, at least with with younger adults. It's not installed in newly-built homes anymore, and though it's still an option, most home-buyers opt for wood laminate flooring. And many middle-aged home owners are replacing old carpet with wood laminate, too, my kids included. (Wealthy people are going with real wood or marble or stone.)Most people don't think carpeting is disgusting.. where have you got that from ? it's certainly disgusting if you don't clean it..
You have to use a quality carpet shampooing system. How clean can get it without removing?
When carpet does finally come up you get to see all that dirt beneath...
yes a lot of people have laminate or wood floors here including my own daughter who has very expensive oak flooring.... but not because they think it's disgusting, more because it's easier to keep clean..Carpeting has totally fallen out of favor here in the US, at least with with younger adults. In Spring 2017 I had waterproof wood laminate put in two rooms (kitchen and master bath). Everywhere else has wall to wall carpeting with the exception of ceramic tile in the foyer.Carpeting has totally fallen out of favor here in the US, at least with with younger adults. Both cabins I lived in (up in the Sierras) had wood floors, too. Mostly they just needed sweeping once in a while. I'd mop them on special occasions. But as you know, if clean, shiny floors is what you're after, you don't belong in a cabin in the hills.I musta been wealthy at the cabin
You could run a D9 crawler over 'em without too much ado
