With tax filing season in full swing I don't think enough can be said about the chance of fraud or identity theft. I used to do personal taxes for friends and relatives, always was in amazement when I had to ask certain questions to complete their taxes. Without fail they were more than willing to give me everything a person would need for identity theft. Name, address, birthdate, SS#, employer and banking information. I pre-warned them that they would need to give up that info. I quit maybe 7 years ago because I didn't want to have the much knowledge about them. Reading a financial website this morning they again posted articles about fake IRS agents defrauding many unsuspecting taxpayers. Please read the warnings and protect your identity.

Another site had this article about my latest obsession, reinforcing my belief that we all need to be aware of the concerns that a few in the government are worried about. Case in point is about how our lives have become so entrenched and controlled by technology. Most have our best interests in mind and one can only hope that no one will take advantage of it but living in the real world I trust no one. Anytime they tell me to not worry is when I worry the most. See below.
