Taylor and Kelce sitting in a tree... :)

I am happy for them. Trying to lead normal lives when one is constantly in the public eye is difficult, yet they seem to have accomplished that to bigger degree Then many famous people.

Both sets of parents did a great job raising those two and are very proud of them.

They are both self made filthy rich. Travis could quit football and Taylor could quit entertainment today, if they wanted to, but probably won’t.

For as young as she is, Taylor, Swift is quite the philanthropist. She has donated quite a few millions of dollars to various disasters, she will visit children in hospitals frequently wherever she happens to be on the globe. It is little wonder she has such a big following.

I am not a Swifty, but I do appreciate when I hear about her on the local news, which is often because her music journey started in Nashville, TN. She is no dumbbell, that’s for sure. If I remember correctly, her dad is an accountant and I am pretty sure he has managed her career, which is why she has so much money.

Oh puuhhlease...

Will someone please explain the hysteria, mania or what ever the frack is.

College professor sends class home to ‘process’ news that Taylor Swift is engaged

I don’t know, but did the Elizabeth Taylor-Richard Burton saga back in the 60’s - 70’s cause as much of a stir?

Congratulations to both, I'm happy for them....nice news and a break from the daily deluge of negativity coming out of Washington.

I don't get it either. Just to see what the hype is about, I listened to a little of her music. She can barely sing and a flat voice. Not much real talent. Okay for the usual group of entertainers at the Grammy awards, and the news media who gush all over her.

This public staging of their engagement, after the fact, have rumors out there that they are secretly married already.

They are putting out a July 4th wedding date next summer.
.
They live for the drama. .. hope their love is real while everything else is staged.

Swift is 35. They all have their moment in time. Watch out - here come Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, and Gracie Abrams.

I think if they were trying to lead a normal life he would have proposed in private. I don't for one minute think either of them wants a normal life, I expect that's their biggest fear.
I would have put 10 thumbs up on this if I could, limelight or no light it seems

I watched a documentary on her - very nice woman with an extremely supportive family who went to great lengths to support her dream. She, like many artists, was taken advantage of early in her career and has been careful to not only resolve those problems, but to caution upcoming artists against them. I wish them well.
I have mixed feelings on her notoriety of all her charitable deeds because as much as she makes she has to have tax write-offs.
Since she gets so much coverage on all these good deeds, I have to think of former people that gave to charity secretly, humbly.
Such as Harry Chapin. He began the Feed the Children way back when and because he went to Washington to lobby for it was the only reason we knew of it. He did many others never publicized. What I am saying is she is not the 1st to do this but Swifties thinks she is. It is a tax write off with added good press added to it. She may be a good hearted person true but darn, do it with humility.
OK you can berate me now.
Harry Chapin was beyond extraordinary - there is no doubt about that. I was a fan since the first time I heard, "Taxi" and became even more so when privileged to spend an evening with him and 5 others in 1974.

Whatever Swift does, does not diminish others' efforts, it continues a remarkable trend. Benefit concerts and generous donations have long been part of musicians' lives. Danny Thomas was a committed philanthropist since the late 1930s and went on to found St. Jude.

We know of Harry Chapin's overflowing heart because he was our generation.

Rather than casting shade on Taylor Swift's widely known philanthropy, why not celebrate and encourage her stellar example to a new generation — a generation that is too often seeing little public generosity or empathy toward those in need?

I believe Danny, Harry and others would be among the first to salute Swift's charitable efforts.

I wish Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce much happiness.

Well said and appreciate your view, that is what's good about people being different. If we all adored and the same people at the same time so many others would not be seen or known about. I think she has enough adoring fans, the lack of mine does not diminish what others think and shouldn't. It's just for my taste she is too public for too many things, it's too staged.

I am thrilled for them. I love having happy news for a change instead of madman news. Like them both. Wish them well. I thank them for interrupting revolting news. Let love win out over the constant Hate generated. Glad for anyone who is not disgusting. Yay them.

Good luck to them both & hope they are happy. I don't care what they do with their lives, but I don't really don't need to hear anything else about them or their plans. However, the news about them won't stop & will be insistent.

I have one questions though. Every time she broke up with a boyfriend she would write a song & it seems it was a hit. Shouldn't the ex who the song was written about get some of the royalties from that? Just a thought.
