Tea Time

Red Rose, Earl Grey, Tazo... so good!

Tazo Wild Sweet Orange is so yummy!

With the wild orange, a little honey along with approx. 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger, delish!

Interesting that this thread came up just now. My wife suggested a cup of tea a little while ago because I have not been in a good mood today for some reason. If either of us is not in a good mood, we tell the other so we avoid all the usual crap that a bad causes between people. Understanding what is happening with each other is important to both of us.

The times I was over in England, I was working on a contract for the British Air Force. I was the only American on the team. It seems to me that the people I worked with all drank coffee. I don't remember them taking a "tea time" as we typically see in the British TV shows we have on Public Television. I do drink tea on occasion and never drink coffee because I just don't like it. I like the smell, but not the taste.

How is the turmeric tea, Mur?

I was just looking at some the last time I was shopping and contemplating if I should get some. It was a mix... turmeric and ginger (if I remember right).
That's how I drink it, actually; turmeric + ginger and sometimes + earl grey as well. I use it in darker teas as well. It's good when blended.

Not too strong, imo, it's just not at all sweet and the flavor is unfamiliar. I'd say it's on the robust side but that depends on the brand/purity. Turmeric and ginger are very complimentary in sauces and marinades, works for tea, also.
Thanks, Mur.

One thing I don't do is buy into the like of... "it's good for you".

With me whatever I buy is strictly for taste and enjoyment.

I have tried flavoured teas but I do not like the taste and I prefer good old black tea
Huz and I drink black tea and our favourites are Twinings English Breakfast for him (I wonder why....he's a £10 Pom)
I prefer Twinings Irish Breakfast which is a little stronger than the English Breakfast
I don't like flavored ones either, especially fruit flavored ones which I'm suspect are mostly artificial or artificially enhanced.

An Englishman that doesn't like tea, it almost amounts to treason. never could get the flavour for it.
But what I would recommend you put on your bucket list. Afternoon tea at The Ritz Hotel in London. When I said that I preferred coffee the waiter asked my coffee preference. To my absolute surprise, when I said Peaberry, a rare and unusual Kenyan coffee, they had it.
