TechDrive Support help needed

Over the years I have found out that most of those 'Tech Services' that charge money are usually pretty worthless or a down right scam. I have suffered tons of disasters and breakdowns. Turns out, I just had to read myself out of trouble and experiment. Plus they aren't even accredited with the BBB.

I closed my husband’s Lifelock account and had a new account opened in my name. Shortly after doing so I received a message that some of my information may have been exposed related to Facebook Data Broker 858M. I looked up Facebook Data Broker 858M and it appears to be legitimate.

I called Lifelock and explained the situation. They connected me to someone who could better help me because I had stopped receiving emails on my device and Lifelock needed to send me an email. Long story short…my email was reinstated and a person from TechDrive Support supposedly installed Norton, installed firewall security, cleaned up file corruptions and removed junk and temporary files.

I’m wondering now if this is a legitimate company. Some of the reviews are positive but others indicate this is a scam company. I have a sinking feeling I’ve really screwed up and I’m not really sure what to do.

First let me say I know just enuf about my computer to be dangerous and I have Eset for my security.
When I had issues in the past I gave them remote access. You get a onetime code to give permission.
I could see every move of the cursor on my screen. After logout they no longer had any access.
My guy was very patient and explained things as he went. I even learned a few things by watching. :D

Sounds like you gave them remote access. If it helps after logout they no longer have any more access.
If you watched them you should have been able to see where they went and what actions they performed.
They cant see anything but the places they touched. So I wouldnt worry. Hope this helps.

If youre worried about your card you can put a block on it. This wont affect any automatic charges only new ones.
You will have to unlock your card if you want to use it but its easy.
Log into your account. Pick a card. Go to options. Click on account services. Then lock/unlock.

Almost forgot. Make sure they didnt sign you up for automatic renewal on that Norton.
