"A record-breaking temperature of 71 degrees was reported at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Columbia, according to the National Weather Service.
It broke the old record of 70 degrees set in 1948. Today's forecast high could reach 74 degrees by 2 p.m.
The National Weather Service also posted a wind advisory for much of the state until midnight Wednesday.
Fierce winds are expected to intensify Wednesday evening, "gusting to 40-50 mph," said KOMU 8 Meteorologist Tim Schmidt."

This is nuts! We might need the air conditioners. Ha! Sunday's low will be 11. The new abnormal.

Same here in Morgan County....I just looked at my temperature gauge, and it is reading 75 at 3:30 PM. I was out for awhile blowing leaves away from the house....almost a waste of time, with this wind. I can't recall a time when we had such a swing in temperatures during this time of year.

Our temps are swinging up and down too so I never know when to wear a hoodie or a winter coat outside. A lot more windy days too.

It was windy as hell today here in Denver. I saw branches flying down the street some 30 feet high in the air. I looked out the kitchen window and watched as my neighbor's garbage can blew over and all the garbage blew away.

One positive from it, though. My backyard needed raking and I was planning on doing that tomorrow. Almost all the leaves blew away. :ROFLMAO:
