Temps dropping again

I keep hoping to fill my flower boxes with flowering annuals but the weather (colder temps) have stalled any plans.

I'm going to have to start cutting the grass soon, but the Garden is still on hold. It was Mid May, last year, before it got warm and dry enough to get it going...and this year is looking much the same. We hit 80 degrees a couple of days ago, but another cold front is here, and we may be in the low 30's in the morning.

Is it just me, or did It used to be warmer in April? When I was growing up, I don't remember ice storms and snow storms this time of year.

That must be really out of the norm for you......here, Manitoba, Canada......always a chance for those storms......but i've never seen this kind of weather in APRIL ever.....snow storms.....Colorado Lows.....freezing rain.....all in a matter of days for changes.....good old climate change.

We are up and down from the 50's to the 70's, but more 50's than not. Going into May and it isn't very Spring-like in NJ.
..so are we with regard temps, but aside from some showers yesterday we've had glorious sunshine.. I've been out all morning gardening, cutting hedges back and mowing... my arms are red from the sun, despite it only being 60 deg supposedly.. but my garden is a real sun-trap..

It was lovely and hot here in the uk last week ….
no rain, apparently/the driest April on record …
even tho the sun is out , its very chilly this week at 13…
so no sunbathing ……

NE Ohio - Almost 80 degrees for two days, now 45 with a high of 47 degrees predicted and a low of 35 degrees. This yoyo trend is driving me crazy! In my email today from my property insurance company: "Your area may be experiencing extreme cold soon, we want to share these tips to help prepare. If needed, you can file a claim through our app."

this is the type of weather we are used to in the UK... except for the last 3 years when it's been hot for 3 months straight in summer here in the East .. and with Humid heat at 85/ 90 degrees, and no AC... it ain't fun.
