To bad for the cop that had to wade through near freezing water to arrest the already known felon. The cops found a gun in his car, which should send him back to prison. They also found some dope and other materials. I think more and more people are showing signs of mental illness. Good thing it’s not contagious or maybe half the country would be in counseling.
 
About 15 years ago there was extensive flooding in the area. Some imbecile drove right past the Road Closed HIGH WATER sign, presumably because he had 4 wheel drive. Got swept away. The cost to taxpayers was very high. A dive team from a city 60 miles away was called in, as well as a helicopter from another city about 75 miles away. He wasn't rescued, but the suv and the driver were recovered. The over all sentiment was his estate should be billed for the cost of the operation since he ignored a road closed barricade.
 
Sadly, it might be cheaper and safer for all concerned to pay some of these people enough to support their lifestyles instead of paying to clean up after them, run them through the legal system, incarceration, probation, etc…
