I was the very first Pennsylvania State Trooper to volunteer to be shot with a Taser. The Taser was calibrated at 47,300 volts from the gun to where I was standing, which was 26 feet. I didn’t know what to expect, but I did undergo some training prior to the test. Thankfully, a full medical staff was on standby. The only thing that I required was some oxygen, which was given only as a precaution.
