Some of you may have noticed that I'm not a very good poster child of the MD's. I've developed a strong distrust for the medical world since the 80's when I had some nasty side effects from a drug and then from a messy hip replacement in 2010...so they've lost me a lot.

The recommended mammograms, I have 2 in early 50's and none since.
The recommended colonoscopy, none and don't plan to plus I've heard I'm aged out.
I'm 81 and all is good in my life except OA and surgery damage.

My preventions are my supplements which I started working with over 25 yrs ago.

A couple of friends sometimes tease me because I'm 20 years late for a colonoscopy; never had one. I see no reason to risk any unnecessary procedure - especially ones that require the use of propofol - which killed Joan Rivers during her endoscopy, & Michael Jackson.

I Agree. Diet, exercise, and a daily vitamin are a far better way to live, rather than rushing to the doctor for every little ache and pain. IMO, half the doctors out there are more in it for the money, rather than a patients overall well being. It has been my experience that I can get a better idea of what my body is experiencing by browsing sites like WebMD or MayoClinic, than going to a doctor and watching them do the same searches on their laptop. On the rare occasions that I do go to a doctor, I have a pretty good idea of some specifics to query about, and quickly sort through their nonsense.
