A close friend of mine's son suffered with it for years. They tried everything, Finally at age 40 he drove himself into the woods where he hunted for years, killed himself. Left 2 young sons and a wife.

Its so hard to talk with my friend now as we always talked about our kids and their lives. She struggles with his death daily and I just let her talk as its the only thing I can do to help her.

Yes very sad news. I also suffer with it for over 50 years in both ears. Hearing the tinnitus effects can get on my nerves sometimes.
Me, too - for 25 years. It's why I hate quiet environments. It makes falling asleep very challenging. I set the TV to be on for 30 minutes to drown out the noise. Sometimes I have to go through that procedure several times.
