Texting – how do you really feel about it?

I don't text. I don't mind email for some business communication, but I prefer face to face communication.

The majority of our communication is through body language and facial expression. When I'm discussing something with someone I want to be able to look them in the eye, or at least hear the inflection in their voice that tells me what they're really thinking. Yeah, I'm old fashioned that way.

I don't text. I only have a flip phone I use rarely. If I ever upgrade my phone I might. People at work get a lot of texts from the boss and scheduler about working etc. They can't get me! :)

I like it for simple messages, like I am running late or I am leaving now, just to give someone the heads up, but so many people try out sort out series conflict using text, that is SO not a good idea. I don't use abbreviations though even if I do know what they mean.

I text all the time but don`t much care for long texts. If it takes that long,I`d rather just call. Love getting texts from hubby and the grandkids though-no matter how long or short :) And hubby often texts me when we`re sitting two feet away from each other when he has something to say that he doesn`t want the kids to hear...

I'm like most. I am not a phone person, so texting works for me. I also don't answer the phone, unless I know who is calling. I have caller ID on my phones and TV. If I don't want to talk to a person, I don't pick up.
