Th Great Ketchup Question

There's an ad about where you keep your ketchup. Do you keep your ketchup in the fridge, or out on a shelf?

Since restaurants seem to keep ketchup sitting out all day, it looks like it is okay to do that at home ….but it’s not!
Always put in fridge when not using.

Sales of US produced ketchup in Canada have dropped by more that 80 percent in the past 4 months. We have switched to Canadian made products instead. Same thing for US made beer and wine and alcohol, which are no longer available in Canadian liquor stores across the country. There is a very active national boycott of US made products here now. And of course, many of us are no longer travelling to the USA for business trips or tourist vacations.

I hate seeing Bottles of ketchup and Mayo sitting out on a hot table outside a restarant or bar with the sun shining right on them... that will make you ill if you eat it..

Keeping ketchup out at room temperature is safe but like the label reads, its better in taste and consistency when kept refrigerated.

Like everyone else says , once ketchup is opened, it goes in the refrigerator.

My katsup, mustards and everything else likewise, are kept in the fridge
after opening for the first time.

I never put ketchup in the fridge. Putting ice cold ketchup on a burger, that's sacrilege.
