I’m visiting patients today for another nurse. One of them, 100 year old gentleman, had his military pic on the wall and when I commented on it, his daughter told me that he was part of the landing troops on D-Day at Normandy and that he helped deliberate France. I admit I got a bit choked up; I wished him happy Veterans Day and told him thank you for your service.
