Due to my husband's issues, I was away for several weeks. I am glad I came back, after he passed. I missed the place. While I have great "Real Life" Supports, I do not minimize the support from those who I may never meet in real life. I know I can come here any time, day or night and read up on things, get a smile, or share something from me.

As AZJim and others here know, this time can be very stressful. I do not know how people do it without help. I am doing the day at a time thing. Making my daily things to do list.
Ricks service is NEXT Saturday. We are just doing it at the funeral home. I am having one of his good friends do a eulogy, then he will invite others to get up and share memories. My niece is planning the gathering afterward at a local restaurant. A local BBQ place. Nothing fancy, which he would have liked.

I cannot imagine the heartbreak of losing a spouse or partner after so many years, and am so happy to see you reaching for support in all areas, virtual as well as real life! Happy to see Jim doing the same thing.

Thanks again. We had a small memorial yesterday. Just people getting up to talk. I most enjoyed hearing from people who had known him longer than the 20 years I had with him. Then after we went to a BBQ/Wood Fired Pizza place, which would have been right up his alley as far as places to go continue the celebration of his life.
