For my Happy birthday message.


I have not been around for a while because I have been in the hospital with an infected lung.
When I was let out my neighbour came to see me with her lovely dog.
The dog sat at the kitchen door because he knew I kept the dog biscuits in a tin and was waiting for his usual treat. I took two biscuits out and gave him one which he golloped down and was impatient for the other one. He pawed at my hand for the other biscuit and being a heavy dog it came quite a blow which I am afraid with my skin going like tissue paper after being on steroids set the blood spurting. This in turn became sceptic so I have not been able to use the computer to keep up with any postings.
Getting a lot better now thank goodness and the dog has been to see me since it was first done.
I hope everyone is keeping well. :thumbsup:
 

Right the skin becomes quite thin as we get older. In my neck of the woods they will not schedule colon tests because they are afraid of perforations.

I hope you recover soon. Beiong out of the loop makes life a little more lonely. I look forward to posting every day.
 
Maywalk, sorry to hear you were hospitalized with a lung infection, hope you're feeling better now. Good that you had a kind neighbor who came to visit with her dog, but they can hurt sometimes with their nails especially like you with your skin extra delicate. Hand is feeling a lot better now thanks.
This getting old business can be a bind at times.
Having said that I think I am VERY lucky to still be here to moan about it. :D
 
Happy Birthday Maywalk! Hope you are feeling better now! Yep, know all about the "thin skin"! I can bring in grocery bags and my arms will have "blood blisters" all over them. And I get bruises that I have no idea when they happened! Oh the joy of getting older!

Its a lovely sunny morning here in the UK but knowing the British weather it could be chucking it down with rain in an hours time.
Do you all have hobbies? I used to knit a lot but even that has become difficult when trying to hold the needles. Its a good job I have my computer, I would be lost without it.
I cant say that I am over excited with Sundays because its ruddy rubbish on the TV and I cant get out now like I used to since I broke my hip in three places which never healed properly and now the pin is broken that holds it together.

Hi mayfair, I make jewelry as a hobby finding pieces at yard sales, church fairs and estate sales and I turn them into one of a kind pieces which is fun and creative. I also enjoy nature walks and hikes and photographing the things I see, like this picture of new born goslings.

Have you any photos on here of your jewellery Chic? I never wear it myself not even my wedding or engagement rings because it causes rashes but I love to see it.
 
I, too, enjoy seeing the goslings. :)

I don't wear any jewelry. The feel of earrings or a necklace wouldn't annoy me, but bracelets or watches do. I have a new watch that is still sitting unworn in its package. I put it on once & just couldn't get used to wearing it. I'll either have to wear it till I don't even notice it, or ask my two daughters if one of them would like to wear it. Let them fight it out. lol
