That time of year on the Gulf

Good morning to all- The weather here on the coast has been wonderful the last week- low humidity, nice breezes from the north, lots of sun- BAD!
This is hurricane season, and as E. Hemingway said in Old Man and the Sea, "the best weather comes in hurricane season- when there's no storm."
Looks like we'll be running over east to hook up the RV and haul it westward to- Hopefully- a safer location.Looks like we've got a storm coming in.
These things are not totally predictable, but the folks who are supposed to be good at such things have this storm coming in directly over our place, so, we're heading east in a little while.

Yep, every year we wonder if we're going to have a house left when we get home in October. At least we have a new roof with what's supposed to be hurricane-rated shingles. We'll see, we'll see.....

I hope you guys will be safe during this hurricane season. I'm glad you have elsewhere to go and places to live, too. We get tornadoes up here.

In 29 years in FL we never got hit by a hurricane. Two of them threatened but didn't hit us. We did get hit by a tornado once, that ruins your whole day. It took 3 months to get back to normal.
