Not so far as I can tell.Yes I can get annoying.

We camped and had a cottage right by one of the Great Lakes and I always wanted to waterski but the opportunity never came up. When it finally did, I was so excited and had visions of myself screaming behind a speed boat getting all wet and tanned but it never happened. I tried and tried and the boat driver gave up before I did. When I was a kid we lived on a lake for a while and tried most everything we could find related to waterskiing. I even managed to get up on a wooden bread crate once... Back then all our boats were underpowered by today's standards. Just getting up on the skis was often a challenge. Almost impossible to get up on a single ski, to slalom we had to get up on two and drop one. One friend's boat was barely powerful enough to get up on one ski, but only if you dragged your free leg like a ski. Tried barefooting, but that was completely hopeless.
Haven't been on water skis in years.

You’d be surprised to learn how many people live right by the ocean, a lake, a river etc., who don’t know how to swim. It’s actually not that uncommon. I say this just to let you no that you’re not that uncommon.Enjoy reading about everyone's adventures.
Growing up by a creek you would think I'd be an eager , good swimmer.
Nope am a not a swimmer.
Getting sunburn a lot during childhood which must have taken the fun out of the old swimming hole.
Too many times I got dunked /tossed into deep water gave me a fear of getting in over my head
You’re welcome Silverfox!Thanks,, PeppermintPatty
Is that you? If so you seem to have figured it out!My water skiing attempts ALL bombed miserably. This was in the mid to late 80’s when they had half decent water skis. I can only imagine what waterskiing with DIY made skis would be like.
I did like the surfer , water skier look back then though.
Definitely not! I honestly could never water ski but as a kid, I wanted to . It looked so cool but looking back, most adventurous things I had the most fun doing, I did alone . It’s all part of being an introvert but I loved it and still do.Is that you? If so you seem to have figured it out!
You certainly are no introvert here! It’s all part of being an introvert
At the moment no. I go through stages of being very social to being completely anti social. I’m in a social stage I guess. You certainly are no introvert here!

No. But as I wrote earlier, I will not be describing my own impressive experiences with mere text descriptions because IMO as someone very active in adventures all my adult life, such without images and video in this era is boring. And will not link to my own adventures say on youtube in order to remain as a low profile discrete member. Instead since this thread is now stale having run its course, added examples of how adventures are effectively presented on actual outdoor enthusiast sites. Is this daredevil stuff you’ve done yourself?
We are all sharing personal adventures we have done ourselves.
Looks a lot like mine, Honda Forman, same color. Our son's ATV
We have a Honda Foreman 520 also and purchased it for the same reason. Our driveway is really long and it makes it much easier to clear plus it’s great for hauling cut wood back for our wood stove. We have trails outback we can go on also. It creates a great pathways in the wintertime with its wide tires.Looks a lot like mine, Honda Forman, same color.
What kinds of places do or did you ride them? I bought mine to help with snow clearance (good excuse anyway), and that is mostly what I use it for. However we do have a challenging ride we can do from the house. A 10 mile or so loop, a fire trail loop up the mountain. I can do it, but it gets scary in a few places. Only do it about once or twice a year... but after reading your posts maybe I'll do it today.

That is our small town. We live on the edge of it, but town is creeping out all around us, lots of new houses. The veranda is a neighbor's house. Is that the town over to the right and down some in the 2nd photo?
How far from town do you live?
Is that your house in the distance with the veranda in the third photo?
You must get some awesome sunsets where you live.

That’s quite the hill ( escarpment) you have. That is our small town. We live on the edge of it, but town is creeping out all around us, lots of new houses. The veranda is a neighbor's house.
We do get some great sunsets, over the Great Salt Lake, kind of visible on the photo.
If you blow up the photo you can see the red roof of our house, at the arrow.
