Our Birman is called Ruby. She joined us on our Ruby wedding anniversary. She was still with us when we celebrated gold, and she looks to be in good health and could still be here when, hopefully, we celebrate our diamond wedding anniversary in 2028.

Yes HC. I chose the name after seeing a name that ended in a similar manner on a list of girls names. But it's funny that my BFF, who adores Deja although she only saw her in person once, often says how much her actions bring back memories of her beloved Sugie", who's been gone for over a decade.
No Della, as you can see by what I replied to HC the This Is Us a character was not an influence.

We bought a dwarf female bunny and named her "Beezus", short for Beatrice (Potter), author of the Peter Rabbit stories.
When our "dwarf female" turned out to be neither "dwarf" nor "female", we changed "his" name to "Beezul", short for Beelzebub, which he was when he wanted to be.
When we added a second bunny, his name became "Weezul", because he looked like a weasel and together they were the "Beezul & Weezul Show", which was highly entertaining.
