The 2002 version starts out on a tragically sad note that sets the tone for the whole movie. It's less an adventure and more a morose tale of a broken-hearted Hardegan seeking answers that have little to do with science.Well, the 60s version is much more enjoyable the latest remake.
When I was a kid, the farm next to ours raised little white lambs to be sold for their meat. The Elois in the original movie reminded me of them.It always bothered me that the movies adapted from this book always paint the Eloi as so positive and the Morlocks so negatively. They are both degenerate, each having lost important things as the divide between producers and consumers widened over time.
