The American Renaissance Has Begun, or so says David Brooks in his opinion piece yesterday.
I'm not convinced. A "renaissance" is typically a cultural rebirth. Brooks talks mainly about an economic recovery. Considering we're nearly $30 trillion in debt, I'm skeptical that our economy is on the right path.
Culturally, we may be seeing a rebirth of great movies, since suffering often leads to creativity.
