Found this on Facebook this a.m. and last night we got down to 38, or were forecast at that. Anyone else getting some hard-stuff?

16 degrees right now, 18 is supposed to be the high today, with light snow. It came fast, and temps dropped very quickly starting yesterday morning. Keeping the dog home today, he's not healthy enough for this type of weather, even with his FidoFleece on.

78 yesterday afternoon. High of 40 today. Teens for lows the next few nights.

When I married my wife 48 years ago, she had lots of relatives in Minnesota. I thought, "What a great place to retire. Snowmobiling... Ice fishing..." Almost 50 years later, I want nothing to do with the extreme cold and deep snows. Here in Kansas, we see 4 completely different seasons. What winter we have is still too much!!

I've been through Kansas when there was what I called a blizzard, I couldn't see the offramp into Topeka. I managed though, and went to the first motel I saw. Such nice folks there. The next a.m. I called the office and asked if they thought it was safe to travel on, and they said pretty sure, lots of traffic etc. Also, they said stop along the way if it gets bad, someone is always willing to help
