The art of retiring
It's no laughing matter — but I’m a cartoonist so let’s paint the lighter side
I was Bunky the Clown for 25 years and a caricaturist at parties for more than 40 years.
But as children began to see past my clown nose and wig and ask: “How old are you?” I began to realize the gig was up.
The wig, costumes, magic tricks and puppets went into a box when I turned 67.
