When I was young we always watched White Christmas, the Sound of Music, every year on tv and To catch a thief with Gregory Peck and Grace Kelly, but that was a video we rented.

On my list of favorites are several older ones, like A Wonderful Life, and White Christmas that I'd watch on 'The Early Show' as i did a lot of old B & W movies. As i aged romantic movies appealed to me less except for Rom-Coms because the humor came from the all too human foibles of both parties. Still i tend to view them as fantasies and suspend disbelief during opening credits.

I do enjoy ones that revolve around families, like The Family Stone. Movies like Love, Actually and The Holiday also at top of my list and i do rewatch those some years. A couple of years ago on a similar thread here i mentioned Love Hard. They had me hooked when a couple getting involved online argue over whether original Die Hard is a Christmas movie. Later, after meeting face to face they discuss how the lyrics to "Baby, It's Cold Outside" didn't age well in a more enlightened era and the male lead (Jimmy O. Yang) updates it as they sing it.

When the kids were smaller I loved the wonderful family Christmas plot.
Somewhere down the road Bad Santa with Billy Bob Thorton became my favorite.
Ok, I turned weird but reality does come round at some point and you have to laugh. :ROFLMAO:
