I just found that out. The largest airport in the world is Dammam Saudi Arabia.... it is almost exactly the same size as the area taken up by NYC....it is 299 square miles or 775 square Km's ... and used to be a former US Airbase 🫔

That is indeed a very impressively large airport.

I think it might be more of the case that the land area allocated by the government is around 776k Km2. The airport itself being significantly smaller than that? The airport itself being 36.8Km2. Just north of Riyadh.

so just 5 square miles difference between the 2.... you just can't fathom an airport being that size at all....
