The Blob - possible explanation for the record cold weather accross NE Continental America

Yes, I've read about this, they think this is related to the destruction of the food supply of the starving seals on the west coast.

Yes, they have to feed in cold water and the water near their breeding grounds is warming up.
They are away longer getting food and the pups are starving waiting for them to return.
