YES I know we should not mention the word -and I know its early -- but how many of you start the slog round the stores -
are u one of the 1st to finish shoppers before November is even out ' not sure what americans are like but I do know us in the uk. can start when august ends lol.... but myself iam a slow shopper -but I have stopped the tramping around and give ££££££ to the kids simple 'just the food and drink to think about !

We will have only 5 gifts to buy for kids. All of us in my family stopped the insane gift giving years ago, thankfully. Hubby does give gift cards to his 3 daughters.

I do wish his daughters would stop giving us gifts, we have all we need and most of what we want. I want nothing that needs dusting. :)

Nope not me... I don't even think about gifts until December!!!

Have not bought gifts of any kind in years. Our anniversary was in December, so mid month we would go out to dinner, and call it good. No kids or grandkids to buy for either.

In past years, I was finished Christmas shopping by late September. I only buy gifts for my grandchildren and the grandchildren of my dearest friends. My adult daughters and I have agreed not to exchange gifts any longer. I don't need anything and I couldn't begin to guess what they would need since they are both in positions to buy whatever they want whenever they want. But this year I'm going to be doing some traveling over the next few months so maybe I'll come across some fun things for all the little kids in my life. This means I won't really be DONE until early December. That's cutting it close for me.

My sister and I and my son and I all agreed a long time ago not to exchange gifts anymore. My sister and I just buy something for ourselves if we want it, and my son gets sent by his company from job to job all the time all over the world and doesn't want anything he can't get in his truck or on an airplane.

Christmas is pretty easy for our clan. We all get together at Thanksgiving, and after dinner, we write down a gift choice...maximum $25, and then put the paper in a hat and draw one. The only one's we really shop for are the little great grandkids...and that is usually just some toys that their parents suggest. For the adults, the choice of gifts is usually a gift card at their favorite store, so they can do their own shopping.

😂😂😂

No shopping or holiday hustle and bustle these days.

It only takes me a few minutes to stuff a bill into an envelope. If I see the person over the holidays or if they make an effort to come and see me I give them the envelope if not it eventually goes back into the general fund.

I'm sad to report that every year Christmas becomes a little less expensive.

All my children live abroad and the postage costs are ridiculous, so I don't buy presents. I just send cards and calendars.
Mine lives abroad too... but because the postage is so high, we usually send her a gift of something like a couple of flight tickets to use to the UK over the next 12 months ..sometimes she'll come to the Uk around November time, and we'll buy her something that she can take back with her,

I wait until last minute to do my Christmas shopping. The older I get the less concerned I am about the obligatory Christmas gifts. We usually just focus on everybody getting together and having a few laughs and reminiscing. Gift cards have been a real godsend
