I have complete deafness in left ear, right one does
pretty well, but also have severe tinnitus....what chaps
my behind is all the "breathy" audio on some shows...
you know where the man/woman just whispers, never
talking at full volume....I hate that...

There are also times when the background noise they are broadcasting,
is louder, or too loud for the voices, when I am straining and trying to hear and decipher the info or content of those doing the primary speaking.

I've been enticed by TV commercials at times ...... and am surprised when the product actually works as stated.
That has happened a few times.

One is a stuffed puppy, advertised at Christmas time, with a "heartbeat" that my dog really likes. And it didn't cost that much.

We get bombarded by ads, 24/7. I think it's like wearing clothes, you don't realize you are wearing them after a while. I never saw an ad, and then ran out and bought the product. Maybe there's some kind of subliminal effect from all those ads, but an uncontrolled urge to buy "granite stone cookware" for $19.95 ,or die. I dunno.

Spouse is the kind who would buy every single Ronco-style gimmick he sees advertised, LOL. Good thing he asks me first before clicking that "Buy Now" button!
