The D-Word has found me - Yes, Divorce.

Well, I can't type very much, but literally having got my decree absolute, just 6 weeks ago.... after a horrendous 4 years... I know precisely how you're feeling now..... and like your husband, mine was in denial about everything.. it was all my fault according to him, .... and he dragged it out all through the courts unneccesarily ...causing great angst... and for the first time in my life, I had to seek counselling.

To An American that might not sound too bad, but to a European, seeking councelling is almost always the last resort, and we have to be at our very lowest to seek it out ... so...I wish for you Ladybj.... a much smoother journey, albeit very sad for you, I know..... journey through the divorce courts, and a much happier life afterwards..

Sorry to hear this.

When you are able, it would be good to sit down and decide what YOU want from life, without regard to others.

There are many different reasons why a marriage ends, but I think the difficult part is setting aside the past for the future. What has happened is important, but what is going to happen tomorrow is even more important!
