Did your parents ever use one of these to trim your hair? I should say pull your hair. I eventually put up such a fuss that mom stopped using it on me and sent me to the barber. It’s funny how it got lost one day....

I'm old enough to have been around at that time but never recall them in our family. I can see how they could be "nasty" but probably got the job done - - they cut the hair or pulled it out. Either way they "removed" the hair.
